Meet Mary Kathryn
As a REALTOR® with Hawk & Key, Mary Kathryn Kaye brings more than a decade of residential real estate experience, over 30 years of investing in historic homes, and a lifelong passion for helping people find the right place to call home. Having called both Grant Park and Druid Hills home, she offers clients firsthand knowledge of Atlanta's historic neighborhoods, distinctive architecture, excellent schools, and vibrant communities.
For Mary Kathryn, every transaction is more than a contract—it's an opportunity to help people navigate one of life's biggest transitions with confidence, compassion, and trusted guidance.
A Sarasota, Florida native, Mary Kathryn attended Oxford College of Emory University before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Virginia and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Florida State University. After living in Brooklyn and Chicago, she returned to Atlanta and built a career in executive communications, corporate event production, education, and professional theatre before becoming a REALTOR® in 2014.
Before real estate, Mary Kathryn managed corporate events and executive presentations for Fortune 500 companies, coached CEOs in public speaking, negotiated contracts, and coordinated complex projects requiring exceptional organization and communication. She also served as a consultant during the Viacom/CBS merger, supporting legal teams through the United States Department of Justice antitrust review process. Those experiences sharpened the communication, negotiation, and attention to detail she now brings to every client relationship.
Mary Kathryn believes buying or selling a home is one of life's most meaningful decisions. She takes time to listen carefully, understand each client's goals, and provide thoughtful guidance from the first conversation through closing. Whether helping first-time buyers, growing families, sellers preparing for their next move, or clients searching for a historic home full of character, she is committed to making the process as informed and enjoyable as possible.
She also has a special passion for helping senior homeowners and their families navigate the transition to a smaller home or assisted living. Mary Kathryn understands that these moves often involve decades of memories, difficult decisions, and multiple family members. She approaches every transition with patience, compassion, and practical guidance while honoring the life and memories that made a house a home.
When she's not helping clients, Mary Kathryn teaches at Fernbank Elementary, her neighborhood school, where working with children and families reinforces her commitment to strong communities, excellent public schools, and affordable housing. She also enjoys reading, hiking, acting, designing handcrafted jewelry, and finding creative ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. She and her husband, Wes, share their home with their daughter, Robin, their son, Harrison, and Duncan, their big, goofy, lovable rescue Golden Retriever.
Mary Kathryn believes a home should support the life you want to live. Whether helping a family find the perfect place to put down roots or helping longtime homeowners begin a new chapter, her role is to listen first, guide thoughtfully, and help clients move forward with confidence.
